Clinic Entry and Exit Procedure

In order to be able to provide the safest possible environment for treatment in the current COVID-19 pandemic we operate strict clinic entry and exit procedures for each patient:

  • Under no circumstances is a patient to enter the clinic room without having spoken to their clinician by phone before their appointment time.

  • We ask patients to either wait in their car or wait in the Colchester Fitness Centre reception area when you arrive for your appointment. Do not come to the clinic room door or wait directly outside the clinic room.

    • If you chose to wait in the reception are (or cafe) then please ensure that you maintain a 2 metre social distance from other people at all times

    • For patients who are either moderate or high risk please ensure you wait in your car when you arrive for your appointment. If you are in either one of these categories we will have discussed this with you over the phone before the day of your appointment

  • At the start of your appointment time, your clinician will call you and ask you some COVID screening questions. If you have no signs of COVID then your clinician will meet you at the facility entrance. If you do have COVID symptoms then there is a chance that we will need to reschedule your appointment, should this situation arise your clinician will discuss this further with you.

  • As you enter the facility your clinician will take your temperature and then take you through to the clinic room.

  • As you enter the clinic room please either wash your hands or use the wall mounted hand sanitiser dispenser.

  • At the end of your appointment once again either wash your hands or use the wall mounted hand santiser dispenser.

  • Please as you leave the clinic ensure that you maintain a 2 metre social distance between yourself and others as you leave the facility.

  • To avoid patient crossover we maintain a 15 minute gap between patients (which we use to clean/disinfect the clinic room).

At all times you will be guided by us so the only things you have to remember are:

  • Wait in your car (or reception area)

  • Maintain a 2 metre social distance between you and others.
