Personal protective equipment (PPE) is used to help protect both our clinicians and patients from exposure to COVID-19. In line with Public Health England’s guidelines, therapists must wear the following PPE for any procedures/techniques carried out within 2 metres of the patient:

• Single use gloves

• Single use fluid resistant mask

• Single use apron

In addition to this for the protection of our therapists we require patients to wear a single use fluid resistant mask which we will provide.

In the event of a patient being unable to wear a mask (due to a medical condition) or unwilling to wear a mask (due to personal preference or beliefs) then we will use techniques that can be delivered whilst maintaining a 2 metre distance from the patient.
