How to get your symptoms under control when you have pain

Getting symptoms under control is probably the most important aspect of recovery from pain/injury.

It can take a bit of trial and error to get things right but often it is ok to do things as long as you have your symptoms under control*. This means that any pain…..

  • Is manageable

  • Does not build

  • Does not require you to use any form of analgesia/pain relief

  • Settles to your baseline (which may not be zero) within 24 hours

If you can tick all these boxes then you have control of your symptoms.

*Whatever you have going on, always get it checked out by a healthcare professional
